TVP is 'textured vegetable protein' (more accurately known as TSP or 'textured soya protein'). Made to resemble meat mince, this flavoured TVP mince is ideal for making into vegetarian sausages, nut roasts, bolognese and stuffing.
For best results, pre soak in hot water or vegetable stock first to allow the mince to expand and soften, then add to your favourite recipe. Or alternatively add water/stock, 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil, and simmer for 10 - 15 minutes.
Suitable for vegetarians & vegans. Contains soya and gluten.
