History of Roots and Fruits and Flowers

Back in the summer of 1988 Garth Gulland had a vision.  He wanted to supply the discerning public of Glasgow’s leafy westend with the finest quality fruit and vegetables.

Following on from the success of Roots & Fruits Garth decided to open a flower shop and in 199? Roots & Fruits & Flowers was born.

Over the years Roots and Fruits and Flowers has gone from strength to strength and now boasts 4 shops.  The original fruit shop, flower shop and a Delicatessen specialising in wholefoods and organics based at Kelvinbridge on Great Western Road and  a single shop on Byres Road combining the aspects of all three specialist shops.

Now after nearly 20 years, the flower shop ethos remains the same as it did when Garth first opened it.

We cater for all occasions.  Specialising in weddings, funerals and corporate events.  We offer an outstanding bespoke design service for bouquets, arrangements and plant displays.
